I've been away and OH  how happy am I to be back! My trip to Russia was short and semi-sweet but the weather was promising and so was the shopping! St. Petersburg reminds me of Chicago in so many ways. The architecture of St. Pete's is completely different than my Chi-town - it is frequently compared to Venice and the views are breathtaking. As much as I am a die-hard Chicagoan, I still recommend that everyone visit St. Pete's at least once in their life - there's a reason they call it a 'window to Europe' and the Summer White Nights give romance and mystery a whole different meaning. The people of Petersburg are known for their cultural prowess and balance timeless classic looks with of-the moment trends. I tried to fit in ;)
