.Goddess & The Baker.

Goddess & The Baker opened this week in the Loop and I couldn't be more sad that I don't work next door at SAIC anymore! A local cafe option was needed in that area and now you can get a cup of Metropolis coffee and a freshly baked pastry right in the heart of the loop, without feeling like you're rushed out the door! Stepping into the interior of Goddess & The Baker is nothing short of a cozy, warm, and communal atmosphere, with their subway tile walls, turquoise espresso makers and Goddess coffee cups, and enough greenery to make you want to spend the day sitting at the window watching the 9-5'ers walk by. The menu also features the highly-instagrammed rainbow cake and made-to-order sandwiches perfect for lunch.

Oh, and they also have almond milk! (for all you foodies out there)

I was so ecstatic to see on Goddess & Grocer's Instagram that their new location is popping up back in the Gold Coast this spring! When my bff Leana and I used to live in that 'hood, we must have visited the GG's old location on the corner of Delaware and Rush every other day and were so sad to see it close. The new shop (albeit smaller than the old one) is set to open soon this Spring!
